Ways of presenting the Bible passage to children and young people
This psalm is not the most accessible text for children, so why not use the following responsive version, a paraphrase of the original, with actions.
Begin by teaching the response with its actions, and then you can read the verses. It should become quite rhythmic, especially if you can read it putting stress on the underlined bits. If you are working with younger children and feel the actions are too demanding, you could get them to shake some percussion, or clap on the words ‘great’ and ‘good’.
