About facing and questioning unfolding events

When heroes die in hundreds
yet war drags on and on
which One can give us meaning
and promise peace is won?
The One who is life’s meaning
and offers peace and love,
is One who does not take life,
an innocent, a dove.

When victims run in thousands
and disasters multiply
which One can give us comfort
and for our sake will die?
The One who gives us comfort
and will make the sacrifice
is One who bears the heart pain
and gladly pays the price.
