Mapping the Trinity
You will need paper and pens. Working in small groups, ask each group to draw a simple representation of the Trinity as three overlapping circles, and to label the circles ‘F’, ‘S’ and ‘HS’ respectively. Now invite the groups to write attributes of each person of the Trinity (e.g. love, wisdom, creator) into the appropriate circle. Where the attribute applies to two or more persons, put it in the appropriate overlapping section. If you have time, you could invite feedback and create one ‘master’ copy of this Trinitarian map. Celtic weave
You will need copies of the ‘Celtic free weave’ and coloured pens or pencils. Invite people to colour in the Celtic weave shape, using a different colour for each strand and another for the gaps between the strands. Invite people to reflect on the resulting image. If the strands represent the life of the Trinity, and the gaps represent our own life, how are we caught up in the life of Father, Son and Spirit? W E S
The voice of wisdom
Drawing on the Old Testament image of Wisdom being like a town crier at the crossroads and gates of the town, invite people to suggest what Wisdom might cry out at the gates/crossroads in your local community. Write the suggestions on large sheets of paper. Then, take a vote on three actions you could undertake as a Christian congregation to be the voice of Wisdom in your local community. W A
